Requirements

  • A Raspberry Pi or any computer with Python 3.10+ on your home network
  • Govee lights with LAN Control enabled, WLED, Sonos and/or webhook-capable devices
  • Your own audio files (no music included)

A show engine for holiday and party displays: write a timeline of cues once and it drives smart lights, LED panels and audio in step, then restores everything to how it was when the show ends.

It's built from the controller that runs our Halloween show. The Halloween Show Pack (five original shows) is sold separately. Shows sync to audio you supply; no music is included.

Built from a working system

Already running on our own setup. Proven doesn't automatically mean ready for yours: the status above says what's left.

  • Deterministic cue timeline
  • Govee light control and Sonos audio in sync
  • Multi-device scene sequencing, web controls and state restoration after the show

Features

Cue timeline

Deterministic timing, so a show plays the same way every time.

Lights and audio you already own

Govee lights with LAN Control, WLED, Sonos and anything with a webhook. Govee cloud optional with your own key.

Preview without devices

Every show renders as a timeline, a GIF or a browser animation with your own audio.

Flash safety

Flashing is capped at 3 per second by default, enforced on the final output.

Restores your home

Lights and speakers go back to their previous state after the show.

Tested, and known limits

Software ready. Tested in software and simulation: installer, settings, every module, the web page and the MatrixPortal protocol against a simulated device. Not yet tested on physical LED panels by us; hardware results will be listed here once that test has been done.

  • Software ready: 87 automated tests pass from the customer zip (timing, flash cap, restore, redaction, not-configured paths, web UI)
  • Installed from the zip with its own install script; the demo show and all five Halloween shows simulate, and the web page serves
  • Both release gates are clean: no keys, addresses, room names or personal data in the package

Limits

  • Not yet tested by us with real lights and speakers in this package; use the simulator to preview a show before running it on devices
  • Govee cloud control is optional and uses your own key; Govee publishes no API terms, so LAN Control is the recommended path

Questions

Does it come with music?

No. It synchronises to audio you supply. Example cues and scenes are original.

Is it made by Govee, Sonos or WLED?

No. It's independent software that works with those devices on your network.
