Requirements

  • Python 3.10 or later on macOS, Windows or Linux
  • Excel 2019+ / Microsoft 365 or Google Sheets for the workbook
  • Your own list of businesses with websites

Local Outreach OS Pro adds a command-line tool to the workbook (macOS, Windows or Linux, Python 3.10+). Give it a CSV of businesses and their websites and it visits only those sites (the homepage plus a few contact and about pages), obeying robots.txt and waiting between requests.

It finds email addresses and phone numbers, throws out the junk that ruins scraped lists (example@ placeholders, site-builder demo text, hosting and platform addresses, image file names, noreply@, the web designer's footer credit), and picks the best real contact for each business. Your do-not-contact list is applied before anything is written, and the output pastes straight into the workbook.

No API keys, no subscription, and it never sends email.

Built from a working system

Already running on our own setup. Proven doesn't automatically mean ready for yours: the status above says what's left.

  • Built to fix the failure cases of a real outreach system: placeholder and template addresses, hosting-provider addresses, careers inboxes, web-developer credits and duplicate contacts

Features

Only the business's own site

Homepage plus up to 4 contact/about pages per site by default.

Polite by default

robots.txt obeyed (including Crawl-delay and redirects), 2 s between requests, your own user agent required.

Junk filtered

Placeholders, demo text, hosting/platform domains, image names, noreply and agency credits rejected, with reasons.

Best contact first

Named person at the business's domain, then owner@/hello@, then info@.

Suppression applied

Do-not-contact entries are never fetched and never written.

Workbook included

The full Local Outreach OS workbook; the output CSV pastes straight in.

Questions

Is this a scraper?

It reads the public contact pages of websites you list, the way a person would, and obeys robots.txt and rate limits. It doesn't touch search engines, maps or social networks.

Does it send emails?

No. There's no sending code at all.

Do I need an API key?

No. Nothing to subscribe to.
